Job Overview
A well-established law firm in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a qualified attorney to join the team. The firm provides a comprehensive range of legal services for financial institutions, including banks, mortgage servicers, and investors. This position will involve managing various legal matters, and court appearances, and working closely with clients to deliver high-quality legal solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in consumer credit collections, and state laws, and exhibit a commitment to excellence in client service.

Duties

  • Utilize case management and reporting software to oversee assigned matters efficiently
  • Represent clients in court and handle related travel as needed
  • Provide legal expertise in consumer credit collections, adhering to state laws and FDCPA requirements
  • Ensure proactive client communication and exceptional client care
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide effective legal solutions in a team environment
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents as required

Requirements

  • Must be a member in good standing of the Georgia State Bar
  • Strong working knowledge of consumer credit collections and state laws regarding collections
  • Experience with FDCPA and related legal regulations
  • Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to travel for court appearances as needed
  • Multi-state licensure is highly preferred

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active Bar license in Georgia is required

Certifications

  • Georgia State Bar membership (Required)
  • Multi-state licensure (Preferred)
