A law firm seeks a motivated Junior Personal Injury Attorney to join its team in Islip, NY. This hybrid position is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with over 2 years of experience in plaintiff personal injury to grow professionally. Duties:

  • Manage a caseload of personal injury claims and litigation files from initiation to resolution.
  • Draft, review, and edit pleadings, motions, discovery responses, expert exchanges, and correspondence.
  • Represent clients in court and attend various legal proceedings.
  • Conduct and defend depositions of parties and non-party witnesses.
  • Negotiate settlements and engage in mediation and arbitration processes.
  • Participate in trials and examinations under oath.
  • Assist with client intakes and maintain effective communication regarding case progress.
  • Organize and manage your calendar alongside the team to ensure timely case management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in plaintiff personal injury litigation.
  • Admission to practice in Federal Court (Southern & Eastern Districts) or willingness to seek admission.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading capabilities.
  • Proficient oral advocacy and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and persuasive skills.
  • Bilingual proficiency is a plus.

Education:

  • JD or JD/MBA from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in New York State.

Skills:
