Job Overview: A prominent law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Asset and Corporate Finance Associate with at least three years of experience to join their corporate practice group in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will have meaningful experience in leveraged finance, asset finance, structured finance, and/or loan workouts. The role will involve advising national and international clients on a wide range of financing transactions.

Location:

  • Charlotte, NC

Duties:

  • Draft and negotiate M&A-related agreements, including purchase agreements, merger agreements, and joint venture agreements.
  • Represent lenders, borrowers, servicers, and other market participants in a variety of financing transactions.
  • Advise clients on complex corporate finance matters such as leveraged finance, real estate finance, and structured finance.
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on corporate M&A laws and industry practices.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members to support clients in domestic and cross-border transactions.
  • Engage with clients and other stakeholders to establish and maintain professional relationships.

Requirements:

  • At least three years of experience in asset finance, structured finance, leveraged finance, or loan workouts.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving and client management.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in North Carolina (or eligible for admission).

Skills:

  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills with experience handling complex transactions.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented and proficient in prioritizing workload.
  • Familiarity with corporate finance and M&A reference materials.
