This opportunity offers the chance to work on a variety of employment-related legal matters, providing counseling and representation to management clients across different industries. The ideal candidate will bring 4-6 years of substantial litigation experience and a passion for managing complex employment law issues.

Duties:

  • Represent management clients in all areas of employment law, including Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), wage and hour, and employee benefits.
  • Draft and file motions, manage discovery processes, and handle depositions in litigation matters.
  • Assist with the management of employment law class actions, PAGA cases, and wage/hour disputes.
  • Provide legal counsel to clients on employment law matters, focusing on compliance and risk management.
  • Work closely with senior attorneys on case strategy and participate in client meetings and discussions.
  • Take responsibility for managing multiple client matters simultaneously while maintaining the highest standards of client service.
  • Continuously develop expertise in employment law by staying informed on current legal trends and changes in regulations.

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of litigation experience in labor and employment law.
  • Experience in brief writing, discovery management, and handling depositions (preferred).
  • Exposure to wage and hour issues and class action/PAGA litigation is an advantage.
  • Prior experience providing employment counseling to management-side clients is highly preferred.
  • Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Excellent time management, organization, and communication abilities.
  • JD degree from an accredited law school and admission to the California Bar (or steps to becoming admitted).

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the California Bar (or steps toward admission).

Skills:

  • Expertise in labor and employment law, especially in the areas of wage and hour, EEO, and employee benefits.
  • Strong writing, research, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining client satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using legal research tools and case management software.
