Job Overview: A law firm specializing in complex commercial and business litigation seeks a Mid-Level Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Austin office. The ideal candidate will handle diverse litigation matters and should be well-versed in federal, state, and local rules.

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex commercial and business litigation issues.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Take and defend depositions of witnesses.
  • Prepare for and participate in hearings, trials, and arbitrations.
  • Communicate with clients and opposing counsel to negotiate settlements or participate in mediation.
  • Manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff on case strategy and execution.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Texas State Bar in good standing.
  • 3-5 years of litigation experience in a law firm setting.
  • Experience with complex commercial litigation matters such as antitrust, construction, product liability, real estate, financial services, and energy.
  • Strong familiarity with federal, state, and local procedural rules.
  • Proven ability to independently handle discovery, dispositive motions, and trial preparation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
