The role involves researching and drafting motions and briefs, managing discovery processes, and providing comprehensive case and client management support.

Job Details:

  • Conduct research and draft motions, briefs, pleadings, and other legal documents.
  • Participate in all aspects of discovery, including drafting discovery requests and responses, conducting depositions, and managing document production.
  • Manage client communication and case updates throughout the litigation process.
  • Meet and confer with defense counsel by letter and phone to negotiate case matters.
  • Ensure compliance with court procedures and deadlines.
  • Maintain organized case files and documentation.
  • Collaborate effectively with senior attorneys and legal staff on case strategy and execution.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to client service and maintain high standards of professionalism.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership and good standing with the California State Bar.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of civil litigation experience, with a focus on class action lawsuits preferred.
  • District court or appellate court clerkship experience is highly desirable.
