Mid-level Intellectual Property Associate Attorney

A law firm in Santa Monica, CA, is seeking a highly motivated Mid-level Intellectual Property Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate should possess excellent research and writing skills, the ability to work independently, and strong advocacy abilities. This position offers the opportunity to work on challenging intellectual property and patent litigation cases.

Job Details:

• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on intellectual property and patent issues.
• Draft and prepare various legal documents, including motions, briefs, and pleadings.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, depositions, and settlement negotiations.
• Provide strategic advice and counsel to clients on intellectual property matters.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and team members to develop case strategies.
• Stay updated on changes in intellectual property law and related regulations.
• Assist with due diligence for intellectual property transactions.
• Participate in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications.
• Engage in client development activities, including presentations and meetings.

Requirements:

• Admission to the State Bar.
• 3-7 years of experience in intellectual property and/or patent litigation.
• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Superior writing and communication skills.

Education:

Bachelor’s or higher degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent.

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar.
