A law firm is seeking a dedicated and skilled Personal Injury Attorney to join their team in Columbia, SC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury or civil litigation, a passion for advocating for clients, and a proven track record of handling complex legal matters from inception through trial.

Job Duties:

• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide legal guidance.
• Take and defend depositions, ensuring thorough preparation and strategic questioning.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft various legal documents including motions, pleadings, and briefs.
• Lead mediations to negotiate settlements and resolve disputes efficiently.
• Develop and implement case strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
• Represent clients in court, taking cases to trial when necessary.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience practicing personal injury or civil litigation.
• Licensed and in good standing with the South Carolina State Bar.
• Proven experience in drafting and responding to motions.
• Substantial knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the South Carolina State Bar.
