A law firm in San Antonio, TX, is seeking an experienced Probate, Estate Planning, Guardianships, Wills, and Trusts Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing and overseeing trust and estate planning matters, providing expert legal advice, and handling all aspects of probate and estate administration. The attorney will work closely with clients, financial advisors, and other professionals to develop comprehensive estate plans tailored to individual client needs.

Duties:

  • Manage and oversee trust and estate planning matters, including drafting wills, trusts, and other related documents.
  • Handle all aspects of probate and estate administration to ensure compliance with all legal requirements.
  • Provide expert legal advice to clients on matters related to estate planning, wealth preservation, and probate litigation.
  • Conduct thorough legal research, prepare detailed legal documents, and represent clients in court proceedings as necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, financial advisors, and other professionals to develop comprehensive estate plans tailored to individual client needs.
  • Conduct hearings and represent clients in court.
  • Participate in mediation and consultations with clients.
  • Stay current with relevant state and federal laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Bar admission in the state of Texas.
  • Licensed in the state of Texas for at least 2 years or more.
  • 6+ years of experience in probate, wills, and guardianship administration.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Experience in conducting hearings and being in the courtroom.
  • Interest in mediation and client consultations.

Skills:

  • Excellent research and writing skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Energetic and motivated.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Clio (preferred).

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Bar admission in the state of Texas.

Experience:

  • 2-10 years of experience in trust and estate planning and probate matters.
