Immigration Attorney - Consular Processing

Location:

• Los Angeles, CA

Duties:

• Manage consular processing and waiver cases, including I-130, I-601A, I-212, I-601, and K-Visa petitions
• Prepare clients for consulate interviews
• Represent clients before USCIS
• Review immigration applications and packets prepared by legal staff
• Manage a team of paralegals to meet productivity goals and client expectations
• Provide legal analysis to clients, determining possible case benefits
• Draft and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases
• Maintain consistent communication with clients and provide legal guidance

Requirements:

• 1 to 4 years of experience in immigration law, with a focus on consular processing and waivers
• Proven track record of managing caseloads and progressing legal cases
• Team-oriented and collaborative, with a willingness to support colleagues
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
• Experience with case management software is a plus
• Strong client management and communication skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admitted to practice law and in good standing in the jurisdiction where the position is based

Skills:

• Strong understanding of immigration law and consular processing
• Experience with I-130, I-601A, I-212, I-601, and K-Visa applications
• Ability to manage and prioritize a high-volume caseload
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
