Job Overview:

A law firm in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a skilled Foreclosure Attorney to manage all aspects of the Non-Judicial Foreclosure process from referral to sale. The ideal candidate will also handle routine and non-routine litigation stemming from the Replevin process, manage pre-litigation cases, assist with clearing title to real property, and provide strategic legal advice to clients. This role requires high organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in managing multiple projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Non-Judicial Foreclosure process, including case management from referral to sale.
  • Handle all aspects of routine and non-routine litigation related to the Replevin process.
  • Manage pre-litigation cases and assist with clearing title to real property.
  • Prepare detailed case analyses and advise clients on legal strategies.
  • Draft and file court pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Attend and represent clients at hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and other court appearances.
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on foreclosure and replevin laws changes.
  • Collaborate with other legal professionals and support staff to ensure comprehensive case management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the firm.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • Membership in the GA State Bar, with current licensing and compliance with continuing legal education requirements.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in creditors’ rights, real estate, or mortgage servicing preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of foreclosure and replevin processes and requirements preferred.
  • Familiarity with preferred consumer protection statutes, such as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and a large caseload.
  • Ability to quickly identify and resolve problems.
