Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage complex commercial litigation cases from inception through resolution.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Assist in all aspects of discovery, including document review, depositions, and witness preparation.
  • Analyze and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for use in the preparation of case strategies.
  • Attend court hearings, arbitrations, and mediations as required.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop litigation strategies and tactics.
  • Maintain organized case files and documentation.
  • Stay current with legal developments and changes in the law relevant to complex commercial litigation.

Requirements:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California State Bar in good standing.
  • 2+ years of experience in complex commercial litigation at a law firm.
  • Strong understanding of civil procedure, litigation strategy, and legal research methods.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Education and Certifications:

  • JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California State Bar.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
  • Drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
