Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a talented and career-driven Briefing & Research Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will assist Trial Attorneys in the preparation of personal injury cases, including drafting legal documents, conducting research, and providing trial support. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain second-chair trial litigation experience and develop essential skills in plaintiff personal injury law.

Location:

  • Austin, TX

Duties:

  • Draft discovery requests and responses, pleadings, motions, and responses to motions.
  • Assist with preparation and research for depositions.
  • Provide trial support by preparing and assisting trial attorneys during trial proceedings.
  • Collaborate with trial attorneys in case development, utilizing research to inform strategy.
  • Gain exposure to second-chair trial litigation experience, learning techniques and strategies for personal injury case development.

Requirements:

  • Active licensed attorney in good standing.
  • 0-3 years of experience in personal injury law (preferred).
  • Excellent writing, legal research, and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interest and passion for personal injury law.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas.

Skills:

  • Exceptional legal research and writing abilities.
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to draft legal documents and pleadings with precision.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for personal injury law and dedication to client advocacy.
