A distinguished law firm in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 1–5 years of experience to support its growing Privacy, Cybersecurity & Data Breach Litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early- to mid-career attorney to gain significant litigation experience across a wide range of national matters. The role involves hands-on work including depositions, client interaction, motion practice, and court appearances. Associates in this role will also have the opportunity to collaborate across departments based on interest and firm needs.

Duties

• Handle all aspects of litigation including legal research, drafting pleadings, and preparing motions

• Participate in depositions, court appearances, and oral arguments

• Manage case files and deadlines in collaboration with team members

• Communicate with clients, co-counsel, and opposing counsel in a professional and timely manner

• Contribute to strategy development for class actions, data breach claims, and cybersecurity-related litigation

• Stay informed on evolving privacy and cybersecurity regulations and court decisions

• Assist with discovery and trial preparation for complex litigation cases

Requirements

• 1–5 years of litigation experience in state or federal courts

• Demonstrated interest in privacy, data breach, cybersecurity, or complex/class action litigation (preferred)

• Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills

• Willingness to take on increasing responsibility and manage portions of litigation independently

• Strong work ethic and commitment to providing top-quality legal services

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the State of Minnesota (or eligibility for admission)

Skills

• Legal drafting and courtroom advocacy

• Strong interpersonal and client communication skills

• Case and deadline management

• Proficiency with litigation tools and research platforms

• Ability to work collaboratively within a litigation team
