Duties:

  • Led a high-volume caseload focused on Medicaid planning, nursing home Medicaid, and home care Medicaid cases.
  • Work closely with the firm's leadership to develop and execute effective legal strategies.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to clients regarding Medicaid eligibility, planning, and application processes.
  • Delegate tasks and mentor paralegals and junior attorneys, ensuring continuous professional development.
  • Advocate vigorously for clients’ best interests, particularly in home care cases.
  • Stay updated on changes in Medicaid law and adjust legal strategies accordingly.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment to promote success and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience and expertise in Medicaid law, particularly nursing home and home care Medicaid.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and experience handling complex Medicaid cases.
  • A deep understanding of both pre-DRA and post-DRA Medicaid planning techniques.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • A leadership mindset, with experience mentoring and guiding junior team members.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-first approach.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must be licensed to practice law in New York.
