Intellectual Property Litigation Associate

A law firm seeks a talented Intellectual Property Litigation Associate for its Boston office. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and assist in all aspects of intellectual property litigation. The associate will have the chance to contribute to case strategy development, attend depositions, hearings, and trials, and collaborate closely with clients and experts to ensure effective case management.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analyze intellectual property laws, regulations, and precedents relevant to ongoing cases.
• Draft, review, and edit legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Assist in preparing discovery requests and responses, ensuring that all materials are comprehensive and well-organized.
• Contribute to the development of case strategies, providing valuable input and recommendations to senior attorneys.
• Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, and trials, supporting the team at every stage.
• Collaborate with clients, experts, and team members to gather and assess evidence.
• Maintain well-organized case files and documentation, ensuring that everything is up to date and accessible.
• Stay informed on the latest legal developments and industry trends related to intellectual property litigation.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of experience in intellectual property litigation, preferably within a law firm environment.
• Strong knowledge of intellectual property laws, especially patents.
• Exceptional legal research and writing abilities.
• Proficiency in analyzing complex legal issues and offering clear, concise advice to senior attorneys and clients.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
• Proficiency with legal research tools and technology.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
