Job Overview:
A leading law firm in the Mount Pleasant, SC area is seeking a Real Estate Closing Attorney to join a well-established team. This position offers an opportunity to manage residential and commercial real estate transactions, including sales and refinances, while working closely with clients, lenders, brokers, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be an active member of the South Carolina Bar and have experience handling real estate closings, though candidates with a strong desire to learn are also encouraged to apply.

Location:

Duties:

  • Oversee residential and commercial real estate transactions, including sales and refinances.
  • Review title documents and address any potential issues.
  • Collaborate with lenders, brokers, agents, buyers, and sellers to facilitate real estate transactions.
  • Draft and/or review loan documents such as contracts, deeds, leases, and purchase and sale agreements.
  • Provide clients with a professional and engaging experience, addressing questions or concerns.
  • Review disbursement ledgers and sign checks.
  • Develop and cultivate business relationships to support the firm’s growth.
  • Conduct training for clients and potential clients in relevant areas of real estate law.

Requirements:

  • Residential real estate experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Must be an active member of the South Carolina State Bar (in good standing).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Self-starter with a strong drive for community involvement and achieving results.
  • Growth-oriented mindset with a focus on residential real estate law.
  • Strong work ethic demonstrated through academic and professional achievements.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Member of the South Carolina State Bar (in good standing).
