Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a dedicated and team-oriented Associate Attorney to join their Employment and Labor Relations Practice. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience handling employment-related litigation, drafting employment documents, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. Location:

Duties:

  • Handle employment-related litigation matters, including responses to charges of discrimination filed with the EEOC and local agencies.
  • Manage discovery matters and draft dispositive motions.
  • Provide legal counsel on various employment issues, including compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Draft employee handbooks and other employment-related documents.
  • Advise clients on best practices for maintaining compliance with labor laws.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in employment law.
  • Experience handling employment-related litigation and drafting legal documents.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in good standing with the State Bar (Michigan preferred).
