  • Negotiate settlements, obtain necessary authority, and prepare for trials as needed

  • Maintain regular communication with legal assistants and paralegals

  • Contribute to the firm’s growth through business development efforts

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in workers' compensation defense

  • Established portable book of business

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently with minimal supervision

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective client interactions

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn database management systems

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Virginia and Washington, D.C.
