The role involves advising association boards on compliance with statutory requirements, reviewing and preparing contracts, drafting covenants, declarations, bylaws, rules, and amendments, and assisting clients in dispute resolution through mediation and arbitration. Candidates should either be members of the Florida Bar or awaiting 2023 test results and eligible for Bar admission.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Advise community association boards on compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and prepare contracts for various association needs.
  • Draft, amend, and review governing documents such as covenants, declarations, bylaws, rules, and amendments.
  • Assist association clients in dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration.
  • Provide legal opinions and interpretations on association matters.

  • Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting community associations.
  • Attend board meetings and provide legal guidance as required.
  • Work collaboratively with other attorneys and staff within the firm.

Requirements:

  • 0-3 years of experience in community association law or a related legal field.
  • Membership in the Florida Bar or awaiting 2023 Bar exam results with eligibility for admission.
  • Strong understanding of Florida community association law.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
