Job Overview:
A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Commercial Contracts Attorney to join its Business Group. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of experience in drafting, negotiating, and reviewing commercial contracts. This attorney will work with small and large business clients across various sectors and collaborate with a talented team of attorneys. A portable book of business is required for this position.

Location:

  • Portland, OR

Duties:

  • Draft, negotiate, and review various types of commercial contracts, particularly in the consumer goods and consumer products industries.
  • Provide expert legal counsel on Manufacturing Agreements, Distribution Agreements, Sales Broker Agreements, Raw Material Supply Agreements, Packaging Supply Agreements, Equipment Leases, Equipment Purchase Agreements, and Product Purchase and Sale/Supply Agreements.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring excellent client service.
  • Collaborate with attorneys across the firm’s offices to deliver comprehensive legal solutions.
  • Work independently and manage multiple client projects concurrently.
  • Participate in pro bono and public service matters.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in commercial contracts, including contract law and risk management.
  • A portable book of business is required.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law.
  • Strong academic credentials and excellent analytical and writing skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional client-service skills and effective communication.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must be licensed to practice law.

Skills:

  • Expertise in drafting, negotiating, and reviewing commercial contracts.
  • Knowledge of contract law, risk management, and related legal frameworks.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Client-focused approach with outstanding communication skills.
