A law firm seeks an experienced and dedicated Immigration Attorney to join their legal team in Los Angeles, CA. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to specialize in consular processing and waiver cases while working within a dynamic team of attorneys and legal assistants. The successful candidate will manage a caseload, guide clients through immigration processes, and collaborate with senior attorneys to provide top-tier legal services. Duties

  • Handle consular processing and waiver cases, including I-130, I-601A, I-212, I-601, and K-Visa applications.
  • Prepare clients for consulate interviews and represent them before USCIS.
  • Review immigration applications and packets for completeness and accuracy.
  • Supervise and collaborate with a team of paralegals to meet productivity targets and client expectations.
  • Conduct legal analysis to assess possible benefits for clients and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Draft and submit legal briefs for a wide range of immigration cases.
  • Assist in the development of legal strategies to ensure the success of client applications.

Requirements

  • 1 to 4 years of experience in immigration law, specifically with consular processing and waivers.
  • Proven ability to handle a caseload independently while maintaining a high level of client service.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing complex cases.
  • Experience working with immigration-related case management software preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus but not required.
  • A collaborative team player with a willingness to support colleagues and strategize effectively.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Must be admitted to the state bar and in good standing.

Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex legal concepts to clients.
  • Excellent legal research and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle multiple tasks concurrently.
