Duties:

  • Draft and review both standard and sophisticated estate planning documents to meet client needs.
  • Provide expertise in domestic estate, gift, and income tax planning, with an emphasis on innovative solutions for clients.
  • Engage in international estate tax planning, where applicable, to assist clients with diverse asset bases.
  • Collaborate effectively with clients and co-advisors, fostering productive and trust-based relationships.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and provide analytical insights to inform client strategies.
  • Maintain exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
  • Participate in professional development activities and contribute to the firm's community.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in estate planning or related fields.
  • Proven ability to draft a range of estate planning documents with precision and attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of domestic estate, gift, and income tax laws; international estate tax planning experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated capability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining individual accountability.
  • Excellent writing, speaking, researching, and analytical skills, backed by a strong academic record.
  • An LLM is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Must be eligible to sit for the California bar examination.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must be eligible to be barred in California.
