Job Location: Saint Louis, MO

Job Overview:
A well-established law firm in the Midwest is in search of a skilled litigation attorney to manage and defend workers’ compensation claims within its Saint Louis, Missouri office. This role involves navigating complex legal proceedings and advocating for clients in various settings.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in all phases of litigation for workers’ compensation cases on behalf of employers and insurers.
  • Manage a diverse caseload effectively and efficiently.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings and motions, while conducting necessary legal research.
  • Negotiate settlements and attend various legal proceedings such as hearings, trials, depositions, oral arguments, mediations, and arbitrations.

Requirements:

  • A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and a valid Illinois Bar license are mandatory; licensure in Missouri is a plus.
  • A demonstrated interest in defending workers’ compensation claims is preferred.
  • Strong self-motivation with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Illinois Bar license required; Missouri Bar license preferred.
