A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its Little Rock, AR practice. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work within the area of real estate and creditors' rights law, supporting a diverse range of cases. The ideal candidate will be a member of the Arkansas Bar with strong litigation experience, able to handle a significant caseload and demonstrate leadership potential within the firm.

Duties:

  • Case Management: Handle a substantial volume of cases in creditors' rights, ensuring efficient resolution at all stages of litigation.
  • Litigation: Manage discovery practices, conduct depositions, and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Court Appearances: Represent clients in court, including appearances in state and federal courts, with some required travel.
  • Appellate Work: Participate in appellate matters and provide strategic legal analysis.
  • Legal Research and Drafting: Perform thorough legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and responses.
  • Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing guidance and high-level legal advice.

Requirements:

  • Active membership in the Arkansas State Bar.
  • Ability to obtain a license in Arkansas federal district and bankruptcy courts if not already licensed.
  • 5+ years of litigation experience is preferred, but applications from newly licensed attorneys will be considered.
  • Experience in creditors' rights law is highly preferred, particularly in managing high-volume caseloads.
  • Knowledge of TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, and the Bankruptcy Code is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Courtroom experience is required, with a willingness to travel for hearings and trials.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Arkansas State Bar.
  • Additional Bar licenses are a plus.
