Job Overview:

A well-established family law firm located in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Family Law Attorney with 1-3 years of experience to join its team. This full-time role offers an excellent opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a growing firm, handling various family law matters. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a team-oriented mindset, and a passion for family law. The position will be based primarily out of the firm’s Charlotte office.

Location:

  • Charlotte, NC

Duties:

  • Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, and domestic violence cases.
  • Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
  • Conduct legal research and provide legal counsel to clients.
  • Participate in mediations, hearings, and trials as needed.
  • Manage a caseload and ensure timely and effective case progression.
  • Collaborate with team members and support staff to ensure efficient case handling.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with clients throughout case development.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in family law.
  • Licensed to practice law in North Carolina (North Carolina Bar membership required).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build client relationships.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the North Carolina Bar.

Skills:

  • Proficient in family law practices and procedures.
