Mid-Level Associate Attorney needed for San Diego office

Job Overview: A law firm in San Diego, CA, seeks a Mid-Level Associate Attorney with 4-7 years of experience in complex finance transactions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in sponsor-backed leveraged finance and representing borrowers, lenders, and/or agents in various finance transactions.

Duties:

• Participate as a key member of deal teams, overseeing fundamental aspects of transactions from due diligence to closing.
• Provide legal advice and guidance on complex finance matters.
• Draft and negotiate transactional documents, including loan agreements, security documents, and other related contracts.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on finance-related issues.
• Collaborate with partners, clients, and other stakeholders to achieve successful transaction outcomes.

Requirements:

• 4-7 years of experience in complex finance transactions.
• Extensive experience in sponsor-backed leveraged finance.
• Experience representing borrowers, lenders, and/or agents in various finance transactions.
• Must be licensed and in good standing in California.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Must be licensed to practice law in California.
