Employment Law Associate

A law firm seeks a skilled Employment Law Associate to join its Los Angeles, CA office in a hybrid capacity. This position is suited for a dedicated attorney with defense-side experience in employment law. The ideal candidate will play a key role in case preparation, legal documentation, and client interactions, contributing to a dynamic legal team.

Duties

• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies and preparations.
• Draft and review various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Prepare and file legal documents with the appropriate courts.
• Assist in trial preparation, which includes organizing exhibits and compiling witness files.
• Attend court hearings and other legal proceedings as necessary.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other relevant parties involved in cases.
• Participate in negotiations and settlement discussions to advocate for clients' best interests.
• Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in employment law, specifically on the defense side.
• Proven experience in litigation within both state and federal courts.
• Strong ability to conduct legal research using platforms such as Westlaw or Lexis-Nexis.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
