Job Overview: A law firm is seeking an Immigration Attorney with a strong interest and passion for immigration law to join their team in Encino, CA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for advising clients on immigration matters, preparing applications and petitions, conducting legal research, and representing clients in immigration proceedings. Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet with clients to assess their immigration needs and provide guidance on appropriate documentation.
  • Prepare family-based and asylum immigration applications and petitions (e.g., I-130, I-485, I-589, I-601/I-601A).
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal briefs for immigration proceedings and administrative appeals.
  • Represent clients in removal proceedings and administrative hearings before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
  • Advise clients on the potential outcomes of their cases and the best strategies for achieving their immigration goals.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in immigration laws and policies to provide accurate advice.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Must be a licensed attorney.
  • Strong writing and analytical thinking skills.
  • Familiarity with immigration law is preferred, though no prior experience is required.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Foreign language abilities are preferred but not required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
