A law firm seeks a skilled and motivated Bankruptcy and Insolvency Associate Attorney to join its dynamic team in Wilmington, Delaware. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 4 years of experience in bankruptcy and insolvency law, with a strong track record of managing complex cases. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with experienced professionals in a supportive environment, focusing on delivering high-quality legal services to clients in need of insolvency and restructuring solutions.

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel in bankruptcy proceedings, including Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 cases, as well as related insolvency matters.
  • Draft and review legal documents such as motions, pleadings, and bankruptcy petitions.
  • Represent clients in bankruptcy court hearings and mediations.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients on case strategies and legal solutions.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on issues related to bankruptcy law, creditors’ rights, and insolvency proceedings.
  • Advise clients on restructuring options, asset sales, and debt recovery.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple cases, ensuring deadlines and client needs are met.
  • Contribute to the development of case strategies and overall legal practices.

Requirements:

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in bankruptcy and insolvency law.
  • Strong understanding of federal bankruptcy laws and the Delaware bankruptcy court system.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage complex legal cases and provide high-quality service to clients.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong work ethic with attention to detail and commitment to client satisfaction.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in Delaware.

Skills:

  • Proficient in legal research and drafting.
  • Strong courtroom advocacy skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex legal issues related to bankruptcy and insolvency.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
