Job Overview:
A national law firm is expanding into the Idaho Falls area and is actively seeking a motivated Associate Attorney with experience in personal injury litigation. This role involves managing a full caseload of personal injury matters, from pre-litigation through trial, while delivering high-quality legal representation. The position offers autonomy, growth potential, and the chance to work in a collaborative legal environment focused on results and client advocacy.

Location:

  • Idaho Falls, ID

Duties:

  • Manage a caseload of personal injury litigation matters, including:

    • Motor vehicle accidents

    • Premises liability

    • Medical malpractice

    • Wrongful death cases

  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and trial documents

  • Conduct depositions and represent clients at hearings and trials

  • Develop case strategies with legal assistants and prepare witnesses and evidence

  • Perform legal research and draft memoranda, briefs, and other legal documents

  • Maintain consistent and professional communication with clients throughout the case lifecycle

  • Negotiate settlements that align with clients’ best interests

  • Ensure all filings and court submissions are compliant with Idaho procedural rules

Requirements:

  • 2–3 years of experience in personal injury litigation

  • Licensed and in good standing with the Idaho State Bar

  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently

  • Trial preparation and courtroom experience

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the state of Idaho

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of personal injury law and civil litigation

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Effective negotiation and client advocacy abilities

  • Proficiency with litigation software and legal research tools

  • Highly organized and able to prioritize multiple cases

  • Spanish fluency preferred, but not required
