Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking an experienced attorney to join its Complex Litigation & Dispute Resolution team. This position is ideal for a skilled attorney with a background in commercial litigation, including cases related to contracts, employment, real property, and complex class actions. The attorney will work in a collaborative environment, representing clients in various legal proceedings such as litigation, arbitration, mediation, and administrative law matters. This role offers the opportunity to manage cases from start to finish while developing strategies for optimal client outcomes.

Duties:

• Handle and manage all aspects of litigation, including pleadings, research, written discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediations, evidentiary hearings, and trials
• Develop litigation strategies in collaboration with other attorneys to achieve client goals
• Manage cases from inception to resolution, either independently or under supervision
• Prioritize and manage multiple client matters simultaneously
• Supervise and delegate tasks to paralegals and assistants
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and legal memoranda
• Conduct legal research to support case strategies
• Communicate with clients regarding case updates and developments
• Handle electronic and written discovery efficiently

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of experience in commercial litigation
• Proficient in document management and time management software
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

Education:

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school
• Admitted to The Florida Bar and in good standing

Certifications:

• Active membership in The Florida Bar

Skills:

• Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, PDF)
• Familiarity with electronic discovery platforms (experience with Coyote and iManage is a plus)
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
