Job Overview:
A law firm seeks a compassionate and knowledgeable attorney to join its team, specializing in Elder Law, Medicaid planning, Special Needs, and Guardianship. This role involves providing strategic counsel to clients and their families, assisting with Medicaid planning and qualifications, managing guardianships, and offering legacy planning solutions. Ideal candidates will have experience in Elder Law or demonstrate a strong commitment to developing expertise in these practice areas.

Duties:

  • Meet with clients and their families to discuss Medicaid planning, Elder Law, Special Needs, and Guardianship matters.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents to support client needs.
  • Advise fiduciaries on navigating conflicts during legal processes.
  • Independently manage and prioritize a full caseload.
  • Maintain a self-directed schedule while ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Represent clients at court hearings for guardianship, conservatorship, and Medicaid-related cases.
  • Network and collaborate with other professionals to ensure optimal client outcomes.
  • Contribute to the firm’s team environment, working collaboratively to provide excellent client service.

Requirements:

  • Active Washington State Bar License (required).
  • Idaho State Bar License (preferred).
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in Elder Law, Medicaid planning, Special Needs, Guardianship, and Conservatorship.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Commitment to assisting clients with empathy and professionalism.
  • Willingness to actively promote legal services within the community.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently manage cases.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Member in good standing with the Washington State Bar Association (WSBA).
