Job Duties:

  • Draft and prosecute chemistry patent applications, emphasizing organic chemistry and pharmaceuticals.
  • Conduct patentability searches and analyze technical literature to support patent prosecution.
  • Assist in managing intellectual property portfolios and advising clients on IP strategy.
  • Provide legal counsel on patent infringement, validity, and freedom-to-operate issues.
  • Collaborate with clients and inventors to understand and protect their innovations.

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred) in chemistry, organic chemistry, or related discipline.
  • 2-6 years of experience in intellectual property law, specifically in patent prosecution.
  • Admission to at least one State Bar in the U.S. and registration to practice before the USPTO.
  • Superior academic credentials and a strong publication record, if applicable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.

  • Experience in drafting and prosecuting patents in the pharmaceutical industry.
