Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Fort Myers, FL, is seeking an Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will assist clients with insurance coverage, providing legal counsel and representation in various proceedings.

Job Duties:

• Conduct thorough file reviews and legal analysis of insurance claims and causes of action.
• Perform extensive legal research and draft comprehensive briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs.
• Maintain an annual billable hour requirement of 1950 hours.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, arbitrations, and depositions regularly.
• Draft and respond to discovery requests effectively.
• Collaborate on expert witness retention and coordination.
• Prepare thoroughly for trials and attend as necessary.
• May require occasional travel as part of case requirements.

Requirements:

• Preferably 2 years of experience in insurance coverage law.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-approved law school.
• Admitted to practice law in Florida; admission in other states is a plus.
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong research abilities and exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with a strong work ethic while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
• Prompt responsiveness to email and phone inquiries.
• Excellent client management skills and professional telephone etiquette.
