Job Overview:
A leading law firm is seeking a talented attorney to join its Wealth, Trust & Estate Planning group. This group is recognized as one of the largest and most experienced private wealth practices on the East Coast. The role involves comprehensive estate planning, trust administration, and related services for high-net-worth individuals and families.

Location:

  • Charlotte, North Carolina

Duties:

  • Draft wills, trusts, and related estate planning documents
  • Advise clients on federal estate and gift tax matters
  • Handle estate administration and planning for closely-held businesses
  • Provide counsel on partnerships, corporations, and charitable planning
  • Develop sophisticated tax planning strategies for entities and individuals

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in general trusts and estates
  • Strong knowledge of federal estate and gift taxes
  • Proven ability to manage complex estate planning and administration cases

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent

Certifications:

  • Admission to the North Carolina State Bar (preferred)

Skills:

  • Excellent research and writing abilities
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
