A law firm is seeking a knowledgeable and results-driven Bankruptcy Attorney to advocate for creditors in complex financial proceedings. This role requires a minimum of three years of relevant legal experience and offers the chance to work on high-stakes cases involving financial restructuring, debt recovery, and bankruptcy litigation. Key Responsibilities

  • Represent creditors in bankruptcy proceedings, including Chapters 7, 11, and 13 cases.
  • Prepare and file motions, proofs of claim, objections, and other legal documents to safeguard creditors' rights.
  • Advocate for clients in hearings, mediations, and court proceedings.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research to develop case strategies and provide sound legal advice.
  • Engage in negotiations with debtors, trustees, and opposing counsel to optimize financial recovery.
  • Collaborate with financial professionals and other legal team members to assess risks and opportunities in bankruptcy cases.
  • Stay informed on evolving bankruptcy laws and financial regulations to ensure compliance and effective advocacy.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years handling bankruptcy matters on behalf of creditors.
  • Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Active and in good standing with the California State Bar.
  • Skills:
    • Strong litigation and negotiation abilities.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency in legal research and case analysis.
    • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
    • Detail-oriented approach to legal documentation and strategy development.
