Job Overview: A law firm specializing in energy and infrastructure projects seeks a Projects Lawyer with 4-6 years of experience in project development and mergers and acquisitions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in renewable energy, oil & gas, or broader project development sectors, including negotiating various agreements crucial to project development.

Duties:

  • Draft and negotiate engineering, procurement, and construction agreements (EPC), operations and maintenance agreements (O&M), equipment procurement agreements, and other development agreements.
  • Conduct due diligence and risk assessment for energy and infrastructure projects.
  • Advise clients on regulatory and compliance issues related to project development.
  • Handle mergers and acquisitions transactions within the energy and infrastructure sectors.
  • Provide legal support throughout the project lifecycle from inception to completion.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Missouri State Bar or eligible for admission within a reasonable period.
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in project development, mergers, and acquisitions within a reputable law firm or corporate legal department.
  • Strong understanding of energy law, renewable energy, and infrastructure projects.

Certifications (preferred):

  • Certification in Energy Law or related field.

Skills:

  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
