Job Overview

A law firm seeks a dedicated and experienced family law attorney to join its growing practice in San Marcos, TX. The firm has a strong presence in the region, with additional offices in Round Rock and an upcoming location in San Antonio. Duties

  • Represent clients in family law cases, including divorce, child custody, child support, and modifications.
  • Manage all aspects of casework, including legal research, drafting pleadings, discovery, negotiations, and courtroom advocacy.
  • Conducted client consultations and maintained ongoing communication to provide case updates and legal guidance.
  • Work collaboratively with legal staff to develop case strategies and ensure efficient case management.
  • Attend mediations, hearings, and trials, advocating effectively for clients' best interests.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and ethical conduct in all legal proceedings.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of family law experience, including litigation.
  • Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and client management skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive cases with empathy and professionalism.
  • Fluency in Spanish is preferred but not required.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active Texas Bar license in good standing.
