A law firm seeks a Junior Associate Attorney to join its team in Dallas, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly licensed attorney to gain hands-on experience while working alongside senior associates on various legal matters. Duties:

  • Attend court hearings and legal proceedings as required, providing support during trials and motions.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case strategy and client counsel.
  • Draft legal documents including briefs, motions, pleadings, contracts, affidavits, and settlement agreements.
  • Organize and maintain client files, ensuring all relevant case information is updated and easily accessible.
  • Work closely with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and provide legal advice to clients.
  • Collaborate with clients to determine the best solutions for their legal issues.
  • Assist in the negotiation of settlements and prepare legal documentation for proceedings.

Requirements:

  • Must have completed a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Must have passed the state bar exam and be in good standing.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and staff.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in collaboration with senior attorneys.
  • Solid problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to client needs and case management.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership with the American Bar Association (ABA).
  • Bar admission in the state of Texas (or ability to gain admission within a reasonable period).

Skills:

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong legal research and writing abilities.
  • Ability to maintain organization and manage multiple cases efficiently.
