A law firm in Santa Monica, CA, is seeking a talented Lateral Antitrust Associate Attorney with experience in analyzing transactions for competition issues, managing merger control filings, and advocating before regulatory bodies such as the DOJ and FTC. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional academic credentials, strong communication skills, and a proven track record in antitrust law.

 

Duties:

  • Analyze transactions for competition issues and merger control filing requirements, with a focus on compliance with the Hart-Scott-Rodino (HSR) Act and its implementing Rules.
  • Conduct substantive analysis, address procedural issues, and manage filing logistics related to HSR Act compliance.
  • Advocate before regulatory bodies, including the Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Trade Commission (FTC), in antitrust matters.
  • Provide legal counsel in technology, life sciences, and private equity transactions, with a specific emphasis on antitrust implications.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Relevant Bar admission in California or eligibility to obtain admission promptly.
  • Proven experience in antitrust law, particularly in analyzing transactions and managing merger control filings.
  • Familiarity with the Hart-Scott-Rodino (HSR) Act and its procedural requirements.
  • Outstanding academic credentials and comparable law firm experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 

Education:
