Job Overview:
A law firm seeks a skilled Litigation Attorney licensed in New Jersey to join its Roseland, NJ office. Duties:

• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and reports.
• Prepare for and attend depositions, including taking and defending them.
• Represent clients in court, including making appearances and handling trials as necessary.
• Collaborate with partners on cases in areas such as:
  • Trucking and transportation law.
  • Premises and products liability.
  • Workers' compensation claims.
  • Professional liability and workplace torts.
  • Insurance coverage disputes.
• Ensure high-quality legal representation by managing cases effectively and meeting deadlines.

Requirements:

• Admission to practice law in New Jersey (required).
• Civil litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work on multiple cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Admission to practice in New York is a plus.
• Candidates with a portable book of business will be given additional consideration.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active New Jersey Bar License (required).
• New York Bar License (preferred).
