A law firm in Philadelphia, PA, is seeking an Intellectual Property Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

 

Job Overview:

The Intellectual Property Litigation Associate Attorney will be responsible for supporting the firm's growing patent litigation practice. The role requires a self-motivated, confident, and personable team player with outstanding professional and academic credentials. Prior patent litigation experience is preferred.

 

Duties:

  • Represent clients in intellectual property litigation matters, with a focus on patent litigation.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents such as complaints, motions, briefs, and discovery requests/responses.
  • Assist with case management, including attending hearings, depositions, and client meetings.
  • Collaborate with partners and other team members on case strategy and client counseling.
  • Maintain organized case files and documentation.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or higher, in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or Computer Engineering.
  • 4-6 years of experience in patent litigation.
  • Admitted to practice in their respective state.
  • Patent Bar admission is a plus.

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (preferred).
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

  • Admission to the state bar.
  • Patent Bar admission is a plus.

 

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
