Associate Attorney needed for Sacramento office

Job Overview:

Location:

Duties:

• Handle a variety of litigation matters, including wrongful death, business disputes, personal injury claims, and more
• Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and other legal documents
• Manage discovery and legal research
• Take and defend depositions
• Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and trials
• Develop and implement legal strategies for cases
• Collaborate with a diverse range of clients, including individuals and businesses
• Work closely with partners and team members, leveraging mentoring opportunities for professional growth

Requirements:

• 4+ years of civil litigation experience in a law firm environment
• Ability to manage a caseload independently and effectively collaborate with team members
• Experience with drafting, arguing, and defending motions
• Experience with taking and defending depositions, trial experience is a plus
• Strong communication and advocacy skills
• Client-focused mindset and passion for achieving favorable outcomes
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Active California State Bar membership in good standing
• Ability to attend depositions and court appearances in person when required (must reside within one hour of Sacramento)

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• California State Bar membership (required)
