A law firm in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Technology Patent Agent or Technical Analyst to join their team. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and prosecute patent applications before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
• Contribute to patent prosecution strategies to strengthen intellectual property portfolios.
• Conduct in-depth technical and legal research and analysis on pending matters.
• Provide technical support for patent interference and litigation proceedings.
• Collaborate with attorneys and clients to deliver high-quality legal and technical services.
• Review and draft technical documents related to patent cases.
• Monitor and analyze developments in intellectual property law, especially in relevant technology sectors.
• Assist in managing patent portfolios and preparing responses to USPTO Office Actions.
• Participate in client meetings to discuss patent strategies and technologies.

Requirements

• Strong technical background in physics, computer science, or electrical engineering.
• Ability to understand and analyze complex technical concepts and articulate them clearly in writing.
• Outstanding writing and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to conduct comprehensive technical and legal research.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented legal environment.
• Demonstrated interest in intellectual property law and patent prosecution.

Education

• A Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical field is required.
• Advanced degrees (Master’s or PhD) in relevant technical fields are highly desirable but not required.
• Should have 0-4 years of experience.

Certifications
