Job Overview:
A law firm in Washington, DC is seeking an experienced Antitrust Associate Attorney to join its dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in antitrust and competition law, with a proven track record of handling government and internal investigations, government enforcement actions, and civil antitrust litigation.

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to antitrust and competition law matters.
  • Assist in the preparation and drafting of legal documents, including complaints, motions, and briefs.
  • Manage discovery processes, including document collection, review, and production.
  • Represent clients in state and federal court proceedings, as well as before enforcement authorities such as the U.S. Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission.
  • Provide strategic advice and counsel to clients on antitrust compliance and risk management issues.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on complex antitrust cases and investigations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and legal developments in the field of antitrust.

Requirements:

  • 3-8 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on antitrust and competition law.
  • Experience in either government and internal investigations, government enforcement actions, or civil antitrust litigation.
  • Prior federal clerkship experience and/or a background in economics or related subjects preferred.
  • Admission to the D.C. Bar, or eligibility for admission.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the D.C. Bar, or eligibility for admission.

  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
