A law firm seeks to hire a mid to senior-level associate to join its finance team in Philadelphia. This role presents an exciting opportunity for professionals with experience in commercial real estate finance to contribute to a national finance practice that has handled transactions across all 50 states. The ideal candidate will have strong exposure to structured real estate finance, preferred equity investments, and distressed commercial real estate matters. The position offers the chance to work closely with senior partners and clients in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Duties:

  • Handle complex commercial real estate finance transactions
  • Provide legal counsel and support in structured finance, preferred equity, and distressed real estate matters
  • Work directly with partners on sophisticated transactional work
  • Participate in client meetings and maintain client relationships
  • Draft, negotiate, and review a wide range of real estate finance documents
  • Manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve client goals

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience in commercial real estate finance, particularly within a law firm setting
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Active membership in PA Bar
  • Proven ability to manage complex transactions with attention to detail
  • A client-focused approach with excellent communication skills
  • Experience in distressed real estate transactions is a plus

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the PA Bar

Skills:

  • In-depth understanding of real estate finance and related legal structures
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
