A law firm is seeking a Personal Injury Attorney for its Woodinville, WA location.

 

Job Overview:

  • The Personal Injury Attorney will be responsible for assessing liability and damages, handling a large caseload, and managing full case handling responsibilities from inception through appeal.
  • This role involves independently handling court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials, as well as regularly consulting with clients, opposing counsel, adjusters, and the judiciary.
  • The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of litigation experience, specifically with litigation support, deposition, and trial preparation.

 

Duties:

  • Assessing liability and damages.
  • Handling a large caseload.
  • Managing full case handling responsibilities from inception through appeal, including all facets of discovery and trial.
  • Effectively taking depositions of lay or expert witnesses and arguing motions.
  • Independently handling court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials.
  • Regularly consulting with clients, opposing counsel, adjusters, and the judiciary.
  • Effectively negotiating settlements, including all aspects of liability and damages.
  • Developing a strategic approach and providing leadership and direction to less experienced attorneys.
  • Working as part of a team with all levels of experience.
  • Cultivating relationships with the firm's existing and future clients.

 

Requirements:

  • Licensed with the Washington State Bar Association (WSBA) with no discipline history and in good standing.
  • 1-3 years of litigation experience, specifically with litigation support, deposition, and trial preparation.
  • Experience with time management systems.
  • Outstanding listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Possessing a strong code of ethics, dedication to justice, and compassion for clients.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Licensed with the Washington State Bar Association (WSBA) in good standing.
