Associate Attorney needed for Woodbury office

Job Overview:

Location:

Duties:

• Manage a personal caseload under the supervision of partners.
• Draft motions, pleadings, and responses to discovery.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memorandums.
• Attend hearings, court conferences, and mediations.
• Conduct and defend depositions and attend inspections.
• Work closely with expert witnesses and consultants.
• Prepare cases for trial and actively participate in trial proceedings.

Requirements:

• 1-5 years of experience in construction law or professional liability, particularly representing architects and engineers.
• Strong analytical, communication, and writing skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active New York Bar License.

Skills:

• Proficiency in legal research, case management, and drafting legal documents.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
