Job Overview

A well-established law firm is seeking a mid to senior-level Project Finance Associate to join its Project & Energy group. This role focuses on energy transition financing, offering the opportunity to work on globally recognized transactions, including innovative financing deals in the renewable energy space. The position is available across multiple U.S. office locations.

Location

Duties

  • Handle complex transactions related to financing and M&A in the energy transition sector.
  • Manage tax equity and renewable energy tax credit monetization transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents related to project finance.
  • Provide strategic legal and financial counsel on energy transition projects.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to execute high-value transactions.
  • Support and lead energy transition financing projects across multiple jurisdictions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in energy transition finance matters.
  • Proven experience in tax equity and renewable energy tax credit transactions.
  • Strong analytical, writing, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Excellent communication skills with proven client management abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and business judgment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice law in the jurisdiction of the office location.
